Wriggly worm farm fun
Tuesday, 11 Jan 2022

Worms are fascinating creatures that are a very important part of our environment.
Worms are super little workers in the garden that improve the soil by:
- Creating tunnels that help plant roots grow.
- Giving plants better access to water and nutrients.
- Recycling organic matter into plant food
The more worms you have in your garden, the healthier your plants will be! Learning about worms is also a wonderful way to get kids interested in gardening and growing some of their own food, like cherry tomatoes, strawberries and carrots. Kids can study worms up close in a mini worm farm science experiment that’s easy to make, using materials you’ll find around your home and garden.
