10,000 reasons for schools to turn green

Tuesday, 21 Jul 2020

With the support of our partners, Yates®, we are giving away $10,000 worth of grants to schools and community groups in 2020.

Encouraging children, schools and families to get active and learn more about nutrition, we have 10 Growing Good Gardens Grants to award, each worth $1,000.

After receiving over 1,000 applications in 2019, we are excited to see what schools and community groups have planned for 2020!

Apply for Grants

Teachers, coaches and community leaders alike are encouraged to apply to create a garden space where kids can learn healthy habits and improve their physical and mental well-being.

“Getting kids’ hands grubby in the garden is not only a great way for them to be active out in the fresh air, but also teaching where their food comes from and encourage healthy eating.” Angie Thomas, Horticulture Consultant to Yates

“These grants extend the Life Ed experience from the classroom to the garden, getting kids active and teaching them first-hand about the benefits of healthy eating” said Kellie Sloane, Life Ed Australia CEO

“We are excited to play a role in encouraging children to be active and make healthy decisions when it comes to food”
