285000 Reasons to celebrate 2019
Thank you to everyone who has helped us to support more children in more schools and communities across NSW – we couldn't do it without you.
We visited around 285,000 students from 2,092 primary schools, high schools and preschools across NSW, including 699 disadvantaged schools, and 859 schools in remote and regional areas. That’s 7000 students more than last year.
This year, to celebrate our 40th birthday, we launched a brand new piece of technology. TAM-e is an augmented reality app, which takes students through a journey of the human body, teaching them about body systems, including the effects of drugs and alcohol.
A big part of our success is achieved through our relationship with corporate partners, including ClubsNSW, Hyundai Help for Kids, BHP, Amway and Parramatta Eels, who help us via community initiatives, fundraising and promotion.
Our volunteers, including around 50 members of our dedicated Life Action Groups, work tirelessly to help us reach children in their communities with vital health and safety messages.
We also have the support of more than 100 State and Federal Members of Parliament who advocate on our behalf.
Finally, a huge thanks to all our supporting schools, who work tirelessly to support our next generation.
No child should have to face adult-sized problems alone. Through your generosity, we are able to support more young people – empowering them to make smarter and healthier choices about drugs and alcohol, nutrition, bullying and cybersafety.
You can read more about our 2019 achievements in our NSW Annual Report.
Life Ed relies on the generous support of our community to ensure we can continue to have a positive impact on the next generation of young Australians, if you are in a position to, please consider becoming a regular donor and support our journey in 2020.
We look forward to reaching even more children in 2020, with your continued support.
