Ways to Get Involved

Bring 1,000 Healthy Harold lessons to life across NSW

Friday, 10 Oct 2025

Healthy Harold, the beloved giraffe mascot, has been inspiring and educating generations of Aussie kids about health, wellbeing, and making positive life choices. This year, Life Ed NSW is inviting communities across NSW to support an important fundraising initiative that aims to deliver 1,000 more Healthy Harold lessons to schools.

The Healthy Harold Yearbook initiative highlights the impact of the Life Ed program and encourages support to help extend vital health education to vulnerable and remote communities. Each dollar donated funds another engaging lesson, teaching critical life skills such as building resilience, respectful relationships, understanding healthy habits, and staying safe online.

Through innovative and interactive sessions facilitated by Life Ed specialist educators, children learn about vaping, consent, cybersafety, and protective behaviours. The program uses hands-on learning experiences and augmented reality technology to capture students’ attention and empower them with knowledge for safer, healthier lives.

Donors are encouraged to leave personal messages in the Healthy Harold Yearbook as a lasting tribute to their support, fostering a community united by the goal of empowering children. The Healthy Harold Yearbook giving movement is progressing towards its $30,000 goal necessary to fund the 1,000 lessons, with generous donations already coming in.

The initiative builds on Life Ed’s longstanding commitment to delivering evidence-based health education to children across NSW.

Healthy Harold graduates, supporters, educators and families are encouraged to join this community outreach effort by donating and sharing the initiative widely via social media, amplifying the collective impact and helping to reach every child who can benefit from Healthy Harold’s lessons.
