How to teach empathy

The key to respectful relationships is empathy. And empathy really only means that we see other people as people! Dr Justin Coulson shares how we can teach our children this critical skill.
People not problems
Do we our children as problems or people – our example is everything. When they are having a hard time or behaving less than you expect, try not to react in frustration but see where they are coming from and ask why they are feeling the way they do. By showing them empathy you are teaching them to do the same.
