About Life Ed NT

With the help of our lovable mascot Healthy Harold, we work with schools and communities to engage children and young people in age-appropriate discussions on healthy lifestyles; good nutrition; exercise; respectful friendships; alcohol, drugs and smoking; online safety; sexual health; and managing tricky situations.

Life Ed. NT is overseen by a dedicated Board that steers the organisation’s strategic direction, ensures appropriate governance, and supports the Executive Officer to enable the excellent work of the dedicated Life Ed. NT team.

Board Opportunities

Life Ed. NT is seeking to appoint new Board members to complement and extend the skills and capacities of the current Board, due to some recent changes in our Board membership. There are also future opportunities for Directors to be considered for office-bearing roles.

We value diversity and would particularly welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people of different cultural backgrounds and abilities to nominate for the Board.

In particular, we are keen to hear from people with expertise and knowledge of health, education, financial management or governance.

To ensure suitability to work in an organisation dedicated to safeguarding children and young people, all applicants are required to have a current working with children check (WWCC).

Board Commitment

This voluntary Board meets every 8 weeks for approximately 90 minutes. –
