Covid 19 the need for health education

Monday, 30 Mar 2020

Life Ed has been supporting Australian children, families and schools for more than 40 years.

Right now, our job has never been more important.

While our Life Ed Educators may not be able to physically visit schools, Life Ed remains committed to our cause. The Life Ed Program is transforming to meet the short term needs of schools and teachers during this unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic.

We are fast-tracking the creation of online lesson plans and video content to support teachers and schools across Australia. More information on these resources will become available as they are developed. .

In the meantime, check out our range of parent and teacher resources.

If your children are bored at home, or in need of things to do, try our at home activities, colouring-in sheets and educational games – there’s never been a better time to promote healthy choices.

Life Ed has also launched a new podcast series! Starting with special guest, psychologist and author Dr Justin Coulson, we are helping parents navigate the Covid-19 virus with their families.

And we can’t say too much yet… but Healthy Harold has some famous friends and they’ve been chatting online about some fun ways to support kids. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram accounts for some exciting news!

The Australian Government have set up official communication channels. We are using them to stay up to date and suggest you do the same – aus.gov.au/whatsapp or download the Coronavirus Australia App (on Apple and Android).

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We’re here to help! Stay healthy and happy and look after your friends and family.
