Governor General continues patronage

When His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) was sworn in as the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia on 1 July 2019, the decision to continue his predecessor’s role of Life Ed Patron was an easy one.
Not based in tradition alone, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley reflected on our history and important role in the community.
For forty years Life Ed has actively and energetically worked to improve the health and well-being of Australian children. Its impact has been profound – it has helped countless children make safer and healthier decisions.
Healthy Harold was also acknowledged.
