Ways to Get Involved

Make a difference with Officeworks

Saturday, 1 Jun 2024

This June, Officeworks is hosting its annual Make a Difference Appeal to raise money for local causes across Australia. This year’s Appeal will focus on supporting charities – like Life Ed and its iconic mascot, Healthy Harold - that enable children to learn, create and connect for a sustainable future.

Life Ed is one of 15 local community organisations selected by Officeworks store team members to be supported in this year’s Appeal based on what felt most relevant to their local communities.

Life Ed works to empower children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education and through their Thrive Children’s Fund, the not-for-profit strives to reach as many disadvantaged children as possible.

We created the Thrive Children’s Fund because we believe that every child deserves to thrive – no matter who they are, where they come from, or how much money they have.

We’re so pleased that the Officeworks team shares this vision and has decided to support us in this cause. Funds raised from the Make a Difference Appeal will go towards helping our Educators to reach more children in communities across Northern Territory and Far North Queensland. This support will allow us to deliver education with impact in these remote regions, which has the power to break the cycle of disadvantage.
Russell D’Costa, CEO at Life Ed Australia.

Now in its seventh year, the Make a Difference Appeal is held as part of Officeworks’ People & Planet Positive Plan commitments to make a positive difference in the communities it operates. Last year’s Appeal raised more than $950,000 for 15 charities across Australia.

At Officeworks, we want to help make bigger things happen for our community, and each year our Make a Difference Appeal provides an opportunity for us to spotlight the important work of local organisations that are close to our hearts. The fundraising efforts of our customers and teams this June will help to ensure that these organisations can continue their important work within their local communities and help make a positive difference to the lives of children by enabling them to learn, create and connect.
Sarah Hunter, Officeworks Managing Director.

For the month of June, Officeworks customers in the Northern Territory, Sunshine Coast, and Central, North and Far North Queensland will be encouraged donate to the Appeal to support Life Ed at the check-out in store or online.
