Think Twice
Year 5 / Year 6
Alcohol is a common legal drug in Australia. Students often believe that it is used by most teens, however, the evidence is that alcohol consumption has greatly reduced in the current generations. This age-appropriate module takes a strengths-based approach, empowering students to make safe choices, now and in the future.
Overview
Students explore the possible impacts of alcohol on the people who use it and on others. They investigate social norms and identify why many teens chose to not drink alcohol and the laws around alcohol sale and supply. They identify and practice strategies to reduce alcohol-related harms.
