Ways to Get Involved

Festival of Health brings regional NSW together

Monday, 15 Apr 2024

Life Ed NSW’s Festival of Health made waves in the picturesque town of Grafton on 18 to 28 March, with the team complementing their educational visits with a variety of engaging community events.

The 10-day Festival was a success in that it reached over 1,150 children and young people through the Life Ed program, hosted at schools and early learning centres. It also united the community, with the initiative culminating in a celebration at Grafton Farmers Market with Healthy Harold and friends.

Grafton Farmers Market was a vibrant gathering which included farm-fresh delights and interactive activities delivered by NSW Rugby and Jetts Gym, with 103.1 Loving Life FM adding to the buzz as they broadcasted live from the event. It also gave children and families a chance to learn more about Life Ed and to connect with local health services like Headspace Grafton and providers from Clarence Community Health Hub.

Healthy Harold’s Festival of Health is more than just an event, it’s a platform aimed at shining a spotlight on health and wellbeing within regional communities. By fostering conversations and sparking interest, this initiative strives to raise awareness for wellbeing through a whole-of-community approach.

The next stop for Life Ed NSW’s Festival of Health is the regional town of Parkes from 6 to 17 May.
