Healthy Harold’s Festival of Health returns to Kempsey
Kempsey families are invited to come together for a free afternoon of fun, connection and healthy living when Healthy Harold’s Festival of Health arrives in the community this November.
The festival’s signature community event, the Healthy Harold Colour Run, will take place at Service Clubs Park on Wednesday 11 November, bringing children, families and local organisations together for an afternoon of interactive activities, giveaways and opportunities to connect with services that support local health and wellbeing.
Life Ed NSW CEO Terese Hooper said the Festival of Health was an opportunity to bring communities together around a shared commitment to children’s health and wellbeing.
“The Festival of Health creates opportunities for families to come together in a welcoming, engaging environment, while connecting with local organisations and services that make a difference in people’s everyday lives.
“Strong communities play an important role in supporting children to thrive, and we’re proud to work alongside local partners to bring this event to Kempsey.”
During the festival, Life Ed NSW will visit 8 local schools and 1 early learning centre, delivering engaging health and wellbeing education to an expected 904 children across the Kempsey region.
The free Healthy Harold Colour Run will feature a range of activities for children and families, with a free barbecue, giveaways and opportunities to meet local community organisations.
Australian Bananas is among the event’s supporting partners, providing free bananas for participants, helping to promote healthy everyday food choices as part of a fun and active community experience.
The Healthy Harold Colour Run is proudly supported by the NSW Government, Kempsey Shire Council, headspace Kempsey, Rotary Club of Kempsey West, YP Space MNC, Real Futures, Pathfinders and Australian Bananas.
The Healthy Harold Colour Run is free to attend and open to the Kempsey community. Families are encouraged to come along, take part in the activities and connect with the organisations helping support local health and wellbeing.
