What a year for Australia’s Healthier Lunchboxes! We had a record-breaking 345 entries from families across the country and for the first time, schools were invited to take part.

It was a real community effort!

While it was difficult to narrow down our winners, our judging panel took on the task with criteria in-hand.

Congratulations to our family winners:

  • Amy H
  • Amy M
  • Avery W
  • Chris O
  • Christine K
  • Elizabeth K
  • Katrina K
  • Kris D
  • Melissa K
  • Peach S

Well done to our school winners:

  • Devon Meadows Primary School. VIC
  • Global Village Learning, VIC
  • St Anthony’s School, Greenmount, WA
  • Stratford Primary School, VIC
  • Terranora Public School, NSW

They will be receiving their share of the record $12,000 prize pool in the coming weeks, thanks to our partner, Woolworths.

Life Ed and Woolworths’ Australia’s Healthier Lunchboxes initiative ran from 22 January to 17 February 2024. It saw schools and parents access free resources and activities for the classroom, with the aim of encouraging all to work together to take a holistic approach when it comes to keeping future generations healthy.

Divide and conquer doesn’t cut it when it comes to embedding long-term learning and healthy habits. We need to work together as a community – inside and beyond the classroom – to give Aussie kids the tools they need to make healthier choices into the future.

This year’s search for Australia’s Healthier Lunchboxes proved the power in this. It was amazing to see so much collaboration in action, with students at the heart of it all.
